They bend out of shape about every 6 months. You have to be careful not to lose your watch because sometimes it gets caught and bends the pegs and the band pops right off. Think of them as sacrificial pins. For a few bucks you can buy a whole pack of them yourself and replace them with some practice and no tools in under 5 minutes.
