The only thing I’ve ever done to it is replace batteries when it stops working for a couple of bucks and 10 minutes from Walmart and then for free for some reason over all the years I’ve had this watch Walmart will replace the thin metal spring loaded pegs that hold the (Mine is silverish metal band but the watch is the same) band to the watch. They bend out of shape about every 6 months. You have to be careful not to lose your watch because sometimes it gets caught and bends the pegs and the band pops right off. Think of them as sacrificial pins. For a few bucks you can buy a whole pack of them yourself and replace them with some practice and no tools in under 5 minutes. I got it when I was 16 and it has gone through 14 years of military service so far! I have pictures of me in basic training wearing it. Anyway the silver has worn off around the raised bezel areas and along the sides where the crown is, so it looks gold. The raised bezel has saved the face of the watch from many scratches.
