You would only open all the tools at one time to access the cottonwool.
Which you would only do in a situation where you would actually need to
use the cottonwool.The only reason hes doing it in this video is to show us.

@Prepare2Survive I think that if you put sand paper down there is cause whear on the edge. even if you fold it rough side in you edge would always be hitting the paper. But for any extra space you have somewhere else thats a good idea.

Nice idea, you would forget it were there until you needed it and the oil will help protect your blade edge from rusting as well

@Prepare2Survive Hi there..the only time to open all the tools would be to access the tinder when all other supplies would be exhausted..it’s a last ditch,,plan F..sort of resource..thanks for your comment

@643jaybee if you don’t know me by now…..Man stuff only….ha ha but yeh those…um…products are very compressed but still ain’t brought myself to include in my kit…Maxi pad in First Aid kit yes..I do but I got to get over the feminine product thing a bit more to stuff a …a….a….can’t say it…..

seriously, I HAVE heard that as a survival tool, also the use of maxi pads for blood spurting wound covers, to deal with hemmoragic blood losses in deep lacerations.

@Prepare2Survive actually opening tools on the same LINE like a tool directely opposite stretches the leaf spring on the back edge..I’ve been carrying them for years, never noticed a problem but dont LEAVE them open like that..
for a minute or two your fine…trust me.
