Another great knife to add to my collection! I decided to go outside of my normal knife tastes and try something new, and am I glad. Picked up this Swiss Army Victorinox new soldier standard issue knife. It’s a 10 function swiss army knife with a 3+ inch blade and nearly 4 inch saw. The standard issue soldier knife has been around since the 1960s and this is the newest redesign of the classic blade. I’m very pleased with this knife and consider it a great quality and value knife. In the – range this knife is a bit expensive, but definitely impressed me. Great keychain knife for edc or every day carry.

My review of the Victorinox Swiss Army One Hand Trekker NS (the NS indicates it has a Non Serrated blade). This model features the Camo Handle, the Trekker is also available with black handle scales. Both the blade and the large screwdriver/bottle open lock into place using a liner lock.As the name indicates, the blade can be opened with one hand, but don’t expect it to fast opening like other knives. In practice I don’t see this is a downside to this tool. This video includes testing of the bottle opener, can opener, and the wood saw. The more I carry and use the Trekker, the more I like it. It is high quality and the sheer practicality is hard to beat. It is a great tool to have in the pocket in many situations such as EDC, hiking, camping, geocaching (the tweezers are great for extracting logs from those pesky micro and nano caches). Sure it’s a little heavy and bulky compared to other folding knives, but it is much more than just a knife. It is a multi function tool that delivers a lot of capability. I think this more than makes up for any size and weight issues. I highly recommend this excellent tool, they are great value and if cared for should last a lifetime. Nutnfancy at Gunshow Meeting TNPrs

Nutn breaks out a freakin’ Cold Steel Rajah 1 when gear checked. TNPrs met at this gun show also get into the fun and many are pretty set. The PFIs are peddling their wares and give TNP walkups the 15% discount. Nutn engraved these guys stuff at the show if he liked the item. Guns are discussed. Filmed in Sept 2011, was never going to post this.

My thoughts and views on the Spyderco Tenacious C122G folding knife. What is there left to be said about such a hugely popular knife? Honestly, not too much. The virtues of this blade have been discussed ad nauseam. However, as I have owned this knife for some time and have become quite a fan, I feel it only necessary to offer my own spin on things and at the very least, give some video love to a truly excellent piece of folding cutlery. At 4oz and with almost 3.5″ of wide, slice-y blade, the Tenacious cuts with the best of them. It sharpens quickly, carries easily and absolutely won’t break the bank. This reviewer found his online for under US, including shipping. I’ve been using mine as a work knife, mostly shaving wood from survey lath and opening and breaking down cardboard boxes. It’s also found its way into the kitchen on more than one occasion and is well-suited to slicing and dicing produce and meat. I love the overall sturdiness and comfort of the Tenacious; it feels great in my hands and I have every confidence that it will hold up to years of steady, rugged use. There are several other knives in the same “series” as the Tenacious, including the Ambitious (2.25″), Persistence (2.75″), and Resilience (4.25″), but this one seems to fill that “middle” role best, and is a great compromise between size, weight, and edge length. I can wholeheartedly recommend the entire series though and any of them would make a great knife; it really only depends on what size you
