The last time I was in Paris (two years ago) I loved putting together my own picnics at the different cheese, bread and wine shops. I can’t tell you how many times I said to myself "I wish I had my Swiss Army knife!"
I also remember the metal detectors at the Louvre and other attractions, though. Does anyone know if I’d get in touble for carrying a Swiss Army in my bag (about 3" closed)? I certainly don’t want to cause a scene every time I go into a public bldg.

I have this swiss army knife that I have and I use it almost every single day. I will be traveling to Vietnam for 29 days and I would like to bring it. It’ is about 1.5 inches long and it does have a sharp tip. It also includes a small scissors with a sharp tip aswell. and is it okay to bring along another folding knife about 3 inches in length ?
can i put it in my checked luggage?

I had to relinquish my old pocket knife after going through airport security and I am looking to buy a new one. The problem is I can’t find one that has the features I am looking for. The knives I have found either have way too many tools or just one or two knives. I have tried searching on the internet but haven’t found anything. Do you know of someone or somewhere to customize a pocket knife?
