I am deciding wether to byuy the swisschamp or craftsman swiss army knives made by Victorinox. I want something with features like pliers, scissors, metal saw, wood saw, large blade, small blade. I also want it to be not too fat. I am not sure wether the craftsman is simpler and better or the swisschamp with all its features. Thanks!

Simply what the title says. I want to know how old you must be to carry around a knife in DC and in California with a 3" blade

Reason is that I have a Swiss Army Pocket knife its kinda like my safety blanket. I carry it everywhere because of its convenience. I just use the blade to open my mail and it has other things such as scissors, corkscrew, screwdrivers, tweezers, bottle&can opener, and much more. I don’t intend on someone to attempt to kill me.

I’m flying over to DC from California for a Field trip in Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit. We’ll be doing stuff such as competing for a national Competition and doing some site seeing. As you know, i feel like my knife is a part of me. I just don’t want it to be confiscated if I keep it in my luggage not carry on when we take the flight.
